Free masterclass for parents

The Half-Term Reset

Five days that could change the grade. Most families lose them.

A working hour for parents of Year 10 to 13 students. You will leave with a half-term plan your teenager will actually follow, and the ability to tell whether their revision is doing anything at all.

Saturday 3rd October, 11am · Live on Zoom · 60 minutes · Free

Half term always starts with good intentions

By Tuesday the plan has slipped. By Wednesday there is a row about it. By Friday everyone has quietly agreed to say it was fine.

Not because anyone is lazy. Because nobody has ever shown your teenager what effective revision actually looks like, so the hours go in and very little comes out.

Rewriting notes in four colours looks like work. It moves almost nothing.

What you will leave with

Sixty minutes. Nothing about learning styles. A plan you can put on the fridge.

A five-day plan

Built live in the session and covering every subject your teenager is sitting. You leave with it finished, not with homework.

How to spot what is working

The difference between revision that looks like effort and revision that moves grades. Once you can see it, you cannot unsee it.

What to say

The words for the moment they tell you they have done enough, without the evening turning into a row.

Permission to rest

Keep the days you have already booked. Spacing is the method, so the breaks are doing real work.

This is not a science session

The method is subject neutral. It works across the whole timetable, from further maths to French to history. Bring every subject they are sitting and we will plan around all of them.

Who is running it

I am Kate Todd. I read Biology at Oxford, I mark A-level papers as a practising examiner, and I have spent fifteen years teaching in top UK independent schools.

In that time I have watched capable students work themselves into the ground and go backwards. Almost every time it is the method rather than the effort.

StudyFest came out of that. This masterclass is the part I think parents need first, because you are the one who sees what is actually happening at the kitchen table.

And if you want the how as well as the what

This masterclass shows you what a good half term looks like. StudyFest Online shows your teenager how to run one.

Three live sessions across half term, run by me. Monday 26th October to teach the method and build the plan. Wednesday 28th October to check in and hold the line. Friday 30th October to look at what worked and set up the term ahead.

Twenty places. £149. Years 10 to 13, all subjects.

Bookings open at the masterclass. Nothing to decide now.
